2023 “Point Break” Chenin Blanc
Vineyards
The Rodnick vineyard is planted on the western slopes of the Gabilan Mountain Range in the Chalone AVA. It’s a wild and beautiful site that’s practically in Pinnacles National Park. The cool high desert conditions combined with the site’s decomposed granite and limestone soil provide perfect conditions for slow, even maturation of grapes grown there.
Winemaking
The wine was picked at 20 brix to preserve acidity and freshness. It was fermented and aged in neutral oak barrels for 6 months. We produced 200 cases.
