2022 "Moonstruck" Sparkling Rosé of Freisa
Vineyards:
The Siletto Vineyard is farmed organically and located in the San Benito AVA.
Winemaking:
The wine was direct-pressed before fermenting and aging in neutral oak for 8 months. It was aged an additional 11 months in bottle before being disgorged by hand. No dosage was added. It tastes fresh, but also displays an impressive depth of flavor and texture due to the extended aging in neutral oak. We produced 120 cases.
Tasting Notes:
The wine has so much texture, and it tastes like strawberry-cherry tart and blood orange peel.
