2020 Ask the Dust, Sparkling Rosé of Zinfandel
VINEYARD: The Enz Vineyard is located in the Lime Kiln AVA and was originally planted in the late 1800s along the San Andreas fault, making it among the oldest in the state. The vineyard is dry-farmed and organic.
WINEMAKING: The grapes were foot stomped and left to macerate for about 3 hours. It was then pressed gently to avoid tannin. It was settled overnight in stainless steel, fermented in stainless steel, and barrel aged for 4 months before bottling for secondary fermentation. We produced 4 barrels.
TASTING NOTES: Lemon peel. Kiwi. Watermelon.
